The deve­lo­p­ment area of the buil­ding pro­ject is cha­rac­te­ri­zed by the natu­ral con­text of the nearby Tier­gar­ten and the directly adja­cent Land­wehr Canal and the imme­diate pro­xi­mity to the Zoo­lo­gi­cal Gar­den. The buil­ding site is loca­ted in Fasa­nen­straße / Mül­ler-Bres­lau-Straße in 10623 Berlin-Charlottenburg. 

The total size of the site is approx. 15,435 m². The sub­ject of the con­s­truc­tion pro­ject are the two buil­dings New Mathe­ma­tics Buil­ding and New Buil­ding for the Inter­di­sci­pli­nary Cen­ter for Mode­ling and Simu­la­tion (IMoS) on the East Cam­pus Exten­sion of the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­sity of Berlin. 

The new buil­ding con­sists of a struc­ture mea­su­ring approx. 110 m x 50 m (gross floor area approx. 31,300 m²) with two inner cour­ty­ards along Fasa­nen­strasse. The IMoS is a buil­ding with a cen­tral inner cour­ty­ard, approx. 40 m x 55 m (gross floor area approx. 11,500 m²).
