The development area of the building project is characterized by the natural context of the nearby Tiergarten and the directly adjacent Landwehr Canal and the immediate proximity to the Zoological Garden. The building site is located in Fasanenstraße / Müller-Breslau-Straße in 10623 Berlin-Charlottenburg.
The total size of the site is approx. 15,435 m². The subject of the construction project are the two buildings New Mathematics Building and New Building for the Interdisciplinary Center for Modeling and Simulation (IMoS) on the East Campus Extension of the Technical University of Berlin.
The new building consists of a structure measuring approx. 110 m x 50 m (gross floor area approx. 31,300 m²) with two inner courtyards along Fasanenstrasse. The IMoS is a building with a central inner courtyard, approx. 40 m x 55 m (gross floor area approx. 11,500 m²).
